Frequently asked questions
What does a new patient visit include?
A comprehensive dental cleaning (when applicable), a full set of X-rays, and a professional examination checking for cavities, gum disease, oral cancer, abnormal wear and TMJ problems.
Which insurance do you accept?
The practice is in network with UNUM. We do not accept Medicare, Medi-Cal or HMOs. Medi-Cal patients are welcome but pay in full at the time of service. Call the office for details on your plan.
Are dental X-rays safe?
Yes. A full mouth series exposes you to the same or less radiation than a normal day of natural sources. Lead apron shields and digital technology keep exposure to a minimum.
How often do I need X-rays?
It depends on your history, symptoms, age and risk. A full mouth series is recommended for new patients, and bite-wings once or twice a year at check-ups.
Can I be seen for a dental emergency?
Yes. Contact the office and we will make every effort to see you as soon as possible.
Do you handle implants and surgery in-house?
Yes. Dr. Jaquery has graduate training in Oral Implantology and Prosthodontics, so implants, extractions, bone grafts, and restorations are all done here.
